Parkwood Project

This was a full home redesign for an active family of four.

The clients liked my timeless style with unexpected details, and trusted me fully. She loves the gutsy powder room, embraces the minimalist and clean style grand foyer and enjoys how the entire home flows from one room to another. Each space has its own personality, while the home has a cohesive style and comfortable feel.

The kitchen was designed in several iterations, until we had it perfect. There is a space for everything, easy to get at, and the adjacent walk-in pantry is a dream. Combining metals is one of my tricks to keep the kitchen timeless throughout the years.

The engineered hardwood floor is installed throughout the home. To find the perfect wood, with no obvious undertone was the goal here. Who wants to pay for 6000 sqft of hardwood and installation that would out-date the moment a new trend comes in?

The bathrooms have each their own personality, while they look and feel as they belong in the same home. The exception is, of course, the powder room: the jewel of the entire home. Oh, the WOWs! we heard when we showed the mood board to the client’s friends, and presented it to the contractor, and especially when that mood-board came to life.

And how about that fireplace wall in the family room just off the kitchen? There is a story behind the installation of that wall: Each project usually encounters a problem, or a mistake. When the contractor installed the chosen material on the wrong wall area, a fast redesign was in order, and the final design was even better than initially planned.
